MILITARY MEDALSMilitary medals come in two sizes. “Full Size” which you would wear to most military services and parades, and “Miniatures” which are worn at formal dinners with “dress uniform”. Military medals, either full size or miniatures are always worn on the left side. Medals given by Associations, such as the ANAVETS, Royal Canadian Legion, Korea Veterans, are worn on the right side. Although it's not apparent by these pictures, miniatures are actually 1/2 the size of full-sized medals which are 4 inches in height from top of ribbon to bottom of medal. It should also be pointed out that when you have 6 or less medals they are placed side by side, but if you have more than 6 medals they are overlapped. PLEASE NOTE: Due to quality of film, scanning and individual monitors, colours may not appear on these pages as accurately or as detailed as in real life. ![]() These are a set of “full sized” medals.
