ASSOCIATION MEDALS

On this page I have Association Medals. These are awarded by various Associations, such as The Royal Canadian Legion, Army, Navy and Air force Veterans, Korean Veterans Association and other recognized special awards. Association Medals are not Military Medals and they are worn on the right side opposite the military medals.

Before wearing your Association medals check with your local Rules and Regulations as Associations may have different regulations on how many you can wear, whether ribbons can be worn, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to quality of film, scanning and individual monitors, colours may not appear on these pages as accurately or as detailed as in real life.

EXAMPLES - ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION

Please Note: that the Royal Canadian Legion Manual pg 7. Sec 123 states that no more than 7 Legion Medals may be worn. It is also advised that 6 or more Medals be overlapped as per Military Medals Bars are to be mounted on the respected ribbon. 5 or less Side by Side 4 inches top to bottom of Medal

Note: Royal Canadian Legion does not allow for the wearing of ribbons on summer dress (Shirts Etc) Military ribbons only worn on the left above the shirt pocket.

EXAMPLES - KOREA VETERANS ASSOCIATION

Only those medals issued by KVA are to be worn with Association Dress no other Association medals are to be mounted with KVA Medals. Ribbons are worn on the right side of the summer dress (White Shirts).
